Welcome to Church of the Apostles Evergreen, Colorado
Our name implies an ancient and future perspective. Most importantly, it expresses our commitment to the historic, Christian faith of the holy, catholic, and apostolic Church built upon the “foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.” (Ephesians 2:20) We see the work and tradition of the apostles as exemplary and authoritative for our lives and ministry today. However, our name also looks forward. We want to be a people increasingly living the reality of being apostles, “sent ones,” of whom it may be said, “with great power, the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.” (Acts 4:33) Proclaiming and demonstrating the grace, mercy, peace, love, truth, and power of Jesus Christ is our primary purpose for being. Along with our outward witness to the risen Savior, we attest to His call to prayer, and through prayer, our hope for healing and personal growth. We discern and intend for prayer, healing, and growth to be central ministries in this church. Hence, we seek to intentionally become “a place to pray, a place to heal, a place to grow.” There is a place here for you. We are an Anglican church worshiping in a style that blends the three streams of Word, Sacrament, and Spirit. "Word" represents the evangelical tradition built on the Bible as the infallible Word of God, inspired by God the Holy Spirit, and fully authoritative and instructive for the Church in all ages. "Sacrament" reflects the presence of God in his Church
through His sacramental reality and presence with us in Holy Baptism and
Holy Communion. We worship in a liturgical format with the aid of the Book
of Common Prayer. "Spirit" reflects our awareness that God the Holy Spirit
gives spiritual life and gifts to those who are born anew by faith in
Jesus Christ, who is the Father’s only provision for our salvation.
Our offices are located at the stoplight in Downtown Evergreen
